Yeah, I know. It's been a while. If it's not one thing, it's another. I got sick after my last run. I'm sure it was a combination of seasonal allergies and changes in the weather. It's hot, it's cold, it's hot again. The weather can't make up it's mind. Then it was cold and rainy. I wasn't going out in that. I could have gone to the Y, but honestly, that hasn't even crossed my mind. I'm not feeling my work schedule at all. I get home pretty late, cook (sometimes) and end up on the phone all hours of the night (and early morning). Yep, long distance relationships keep you up later than you would like. Then I set my alarm to the latest time possible so I can catch up on my sleep. So yeah, running, yoga, or any other exercise doesn't come to mind. Half the time cooking doesn't come to mind. I really need to invest in a 30 min meal vegan cookbook or something. Does that even exist?
Well, enough of the rambling. I finally ran today. Only 2 mi but it was something. My heart rate was through the roof. I guess that's what happens when you haven't run in 3 weeks. I've been telling myself that I should torture myself on the elliptical when I'm not running. But I just haven't been motivated to do so. Who knows if or when the work schedule will change? So I guess I should start with going to bed at a decent time. Maybe tonight. We'll see.
